Can I use my own Plumber/Electrician/Tiler etc?
Whilst we are able to co-ordinate everything to do with your installation, you are welcome to use other trades people for some or all of the installation work.
Can I paint the room myself?
By all means, we are more than happy to have you prepare the room entirely for us to come and just install the kitchen cabinets.
What if I want to change something in my design after I have placed my order?
Because we manufacture ourselves and you have your own person looking after you, changing some details during the process is normally fine. This has a huge advantage over kitchen sales companies who import all of their cabinetry. In their case even if you were willing to pay, they couldn’t change your order as they are waiting 6 – 12 weeks to have your cabinets shipped in from Asia. Here at A1 Kitchens we are able to accommodate your changes for a reasonable price which we can always quote for in advance.
How long does it take from order to installation?
There are actually three answers to this question. Each is dependant on the type of kitchen and materials you want.
Most of the time, your kitchen will take 4-6 weeks
If your choices are a bit specialized, it may take 6-8 weeks, but we can tell you that at the time of your quote.
If you have a need for a kitchen in a very short timeframe, for example your tenants have just moved out and the new ones will be in next week- we can off you a choice of 4 bench tops to fit to basic white melamine kitchen cabinets and have it ready to install within 48 hours.
How long will I be without a kitchen?
We install almost all kitchens in one day. Other than the time taken to remove the kitchen, if you are doing it yourself and any extra time after our installation for floor tiling etc. you only need to be without a kitchen for that one day.
